Unemployed and looking around my apartment, I realized something. I buy books. I don't read very many. I haven't been able to commit to a whole book, let alone a series of books on one topic, let alone a career for years. I buy the books, and then, by the time they have arrived in the mail from Amazon, I have lost interest and the books go on the shelves, never to be heard from again. This blog is my attempt to break this habit, to slow down, and give all of the things I once got excited about a chance. And so, with nothing better to do at the moment, over the course of the next year, I will be reading every book in my apartment!
Even though I decided on this while I was really bored, I think that it is a worthy project. Instead of sitting and staring at my computer waiting for job responses to come in, I will be learning. I will be saving paper, I will be saving money, I will be following through. Maybe I will figure out what it is I want to do.
